Hilary completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 2012, before receiving her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2015. Her career started at Deer Lodge Centre before she went into private practice. Hilary joined the Donna Sarna Physiotherapy team in 2018.
In her post-graduate training, she has completed 3 levels toward pelvic health training. She has also completed training to build manual therapy and treatment skills in acupuncture, craniosacral therapy level 1 and orthopaedic level 1. With her background in psychology, Hilary is fascinated by neuroscience physiotherapy, and how mind and body can interact.
Hilary Johnson’s primary area of practice at Donna Sarna is pelvic health. She’s passionate about pelvic floor physiotherapy, whether it’s related to pregnancy, trauma or high-level sports, because it can have such a large impact in a woman’s quality of life. In her sessions, she tries to cover one thing at a time, breaking treatment down to small, achievable goals. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and always communicate their levels of comfort during treatment.
In her free time, Hilary enjoys dancing, yoga, playing with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends, which extends to her rural roots in Lundar, Manitoba.
