Heather Plett graduated in 2008 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy. She started her career in the hospital working with cardiac, geriatric and post-operative patients. Heather transitioned to orthopaedics and hand therapy in 2010 and discovered a real passion for hands-on therapy. Heather joined the Donna Sarna Physiotherpay team in 2011.
Heather has taken extensive post graduate training in pelvic floor therapy, has achieved her myofascial release level 3, visceral manipulation level 4 and craniosacral therapy. Believing in the importance of teaching people how to maintain their health, tune into their bodies and know how to prevent injury, she has developed a myofascial stretch class at the clinic as well as a pelvic floor pilates class. Heather is an advocate for preventative healthcare and enjoys helping people take the proper steps to living a healthier, active lifestyle.
Heather sees a variety of clientele with a special interest in pediatrics treating infants and children with developmental delays, motor coordination issues, breastfeeding/latch issues, concussions, as well as orthopedic injuries .
In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, playing games with friends and family, staying active through circuit training and yoga, and volunteering.
