Heather Plett, BMR(PT)

Physiotherapist (currently on leave)

Heather Plett graduated in 2008 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy. She started her career in the hospital working with cardiac, geriatric and post-operative patients. Heather transitioned to orthopaedics and hand therapy in 2010 and discovered a real passion for hands-on therapy.  Heather joined the Donna Sarna Physiotherpay team in 2011. Heather has taken extensive post graduate training in pelvic floor therapy, has achieved her myofascial release level 3, visceral manipulation level 4 and craniosacral therapy.  Believing in the importance of teaching people how to maintain their health, tune into their bodies…

Mike Wheeler, BMR(PT)

Mike Wheeler graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2009 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy. Afterwards, Mike spent just over 3 years in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, where he worked as a community therapist. There he gained experience with clients of all ages in many areas of physiotherapy, such as orthopedic and sports injuries, geriatric and pediatric developmental issues. Mike joined the Donna Sarna physiotherapy team in 2013. Mike’s primary area of experience is in orthopedics. Jana Loney graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba in 2011. She has worked in private practise since graduating.  She has experience working at Children's Hospital with school-aged kids as well as in private practise with individuals who have sustained a brain injury, motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries pre- and post-operative joint replacements, athletes of all levels and pre- and post-partum clients. Lindsay Clarke received her Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba in 2009, and then spent 7 years working in private practise in Steinbach with a focus on orthopedics.  Lindsay joined the Donna Sarna Team in 2016. Lindsay’s post graduate work includes training in pelvic floor therapy, having completed levels 1 and 2.  She is certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute to practice acupuncture.  She has completed orthopedic levels 1 and 2 (upper and lower), yoga for pain relief, shoulder physiotherapy, TMJ training, the orthopedic role of the pelvic floor and craniosacral therapy.  Lindsay…

Hilary completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 2012, before receiving her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2015. Her career started at Deer Lodge Centre before she went into private practice.  Hilary joined the Donna Sarna Physiotherapy team in 2018. In her post-graduate training, she has completed 3 levels toward pelvic health training. Candace graduated with her Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba in 2009. After working with patients with hip and knee replacements at Concordia Hospital, she elected for a change of scenery and moved to Australia. She worked in private practise, treating patients in a general population, including older adults and elite athletes, and gaining experience in hydrotherapy. Candace joined the Donna Sarna Physiotherapy team in 2018. Candace’s post-graduate training includes hydrotherapy, vestibular assessment and acupuncture. Marlee graduated from Brandon University with her Bachelor of Science (Psychology Major) in 2010. She was accepted in the University of Manitoba Bachelor of Physiotherapy program, and obtained her degree in 2013. After graduation she worked in orthopedics and a private hand to shoulder clinic, and spent time as a community physiotherapist. Through these experiences she has gained exposure to a large variety of musculoskeletal injuries, including post-surgical hand to shoulder conditions, burns, wounds, osteoarthritis, rheumatological and neurological conditions. Massage Therapist

Emilee completed Canadian Mennonite University’s (CMU) Outtatown Program in 2004, which took her across Canada and South Africa while learning about conflict resolution. Her cross-cultural experiences inspired a love of learning about different cultures and a goal to be culturally sensitive. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Canadian Mennonite University in 2008. In 2012, Emilee graduated from the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba (now called Evolve). Bri graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 2018 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. Since then, Bri has worked with a variety of patient populations to provide individualized care for those requiring rehabilitation from injuries. Bri Langlois has been a multi-sport athlete since childhood, participating in sports such as hockey, figure skating, track and field, cross-country running, volleyball and competitive softball.  Her love of sport (and several injuries along the way) led to her passion for kinesiology, injury prevention, and exercise for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being active for life.
